I was reading Kaelah’s post on anachronisms in spanking porn and one of the things that was commented on was tattoos, with one poster making the comment that it is :
Bad enough to see these barbaric disfigurements in a modern video, but in historical context, the producers should cut the wages for the model because of unprofessional appearance!
It is an opinion that I’ve seen a lot of times over various porn sites, often with the view that a model has made herself less attractive by her decision to have tattoos.
As a spanking model with a tattoo (as well as other body modifications) I do have to admit to being a little offended by this type of comment. I had my tattoo done aged 18. It meant a lot to me at the time, and it still does. But it was before I’d even discovered spanking, let alone deciding I wanted to be spanked on film. The body modifications I have are fairly subtle, but they are all expressions of myself. They also dont make me any less able to act and take a good spanking, so why should I be paid less for the work I do, just because I have a few marks on my body which dont fit someone’s idea of what a spanking model should look like.
I understand that a lot of people want their school girl roleplayers to look as close to the real thing as possible. But what those people need to remember that we are roleplayers, and have the desire to express ourselves in different ways when the cameras are not on us. Body modification is just another way of expressing ourselves.
I am more than happy to remove my earrings or change them to something more appropriate if it’s appropriate for the scenario I’m shooting, I’ll change all my other jewellary if needed as well, but the ink is a permenant part of me, and has meaning to me, it’s not random “disfigurement”
