I’ve got a blog post that I really want to write at the moment – a review of Dreams of Spanking’s latest movie – but unfortunately the movie hasn’t yet been published, so I’m not going to be able to review it just yet! But trust me, as soon as it’s live, I’m going to have a watch of it, and share my thoughts!!
So, while I wait for that, and while I’m sat here on my own, with just the kitties to keep me company, I thought I’d write another blog about something else that’s going on today. My lovely R is away this weekend on a date. She’s meeting up with a friend we’ve known for about a year now, and have spent time with together at various parties and events.
And you know what – I’m really excited for her.
This has taken me a little bit by surprise, if I’m totally honest. I’ve not particularly been worried about it, or stressing myself out over it in the lead up, though I’d put that down to the fact we’ve both been hugely stressed out over various life events. I thought that I had just not realised that it was this weekend that she was away. But it seems that I’m actually cool with it.
R and I have talked for a long time about opening our relationship and at every point have both been positive about it, and eager. But we’ve not really explored it very much yet, I’ve been on one date, and this is the first date she’s been on, so it’s still all very new. I think partially it helps that she is seeing someone we both know well, and who I know respects the relationship that we have. And I really hope they have a good time today.
I feel happy that she is going and having a good time. I’m glad that she’s having some time away from the stress and chaos that is real life, for a day. I’m glad to get some time with The Boss today, as we’ve not had much time together recently. And I’m glad that my and R’s relationship allows us each to explore aspects of ourselves with other people.
